The Magnolia School District will close all campuses and office buildings on Friday, March 13, 2020 in order that faculty, staff, and students may attend the State 4A Basketball Tournament in Hot Springs. The Magnolia High School Panthers will be defending their state championship title when they take on the Mills University Studies Comets at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Game time is set for 7:45 pm. A make-up day will be determined and announced on a later date.

SAU Panther Partners AmeriCorps Vista is sponsoring a Kindness Week at East Side! Students will be given a 🌟 to wear when caught being kind! At the end of the week, each student who received a star will be recognized with a certificate! We think it is COOL to be KIND!

Second grade Superheroes had their first Flashlight Friday! We are building our reading stamina. Students were so excited to read independently by flashlight. When the timer went off, they begged for just “five more minutes!” Nothing makes my teacher heart happier than to see my students applying their strategies to understand and enjoy what they are reading! —Mrs Langley 🐾
